Barry Herring Photography

Barry Herring is a photographer who has lived in BC for 35 years. During the last couple of years he has started to look more critically at the influence of humans on both urban and rural landscapes. His current interest is in hand printing digital images on a soft German etching paper.
This also has complemented a parallel engagement with traditional black and white printing in a darkroom and the opportunities that process provides. There is still magic in seeing an image slowly emerge in a tray of developer for the first time since it was conceived in the camera.
