Fort Rodd Hill & Fisgard Lighthouse

Situated at the western entrance to Esquimalt Harbour, and just 10 km. by road from downtown Victoria, these adjacent national historic sites present unique examples of Canada's military and maritime heritage. Fort Rodd Hill preserves three 1890's coast artillery gun batteries and related buildings such as barracks and searchlight emplacements. Fisgard Lighthouse, built in 1860, is the oldest lighthouse on Canada's rugged west coast.
