One beautiful sunny day, while driving along the Dyke Road on my way home from Comox, I spotted these colourful lupins. Traffic was very busy, but I risked life and limb to take some reference photos so that I could paint them later in my studio. Lupins grow wild everywhere in New Brunswick where I grew up, so seeing this beautiful display was like a walk down memory lane.
