Daniela S. Herold is a German-Canadian painter living and working in Victoria, B.C.
The artist, who has studied with Noah Layne at the Academy for Realist Art in Victoria, was first taught how to draw and paint at a young age by her grandfather Daniel Siegel, known as a German painter of still lifes and landscapes in water colours and oil.
Daniela uses oil paint as her main means of expression. She prefers to work from life whenever possible, but her studio practice at the gallery ‘XChanges’ also includes the permeable genres of drawing, mixed media and photography.
