About TLC Enterprises

TLC Enterprises (TLCE) was established in 2001 to offer unique eco-tourism opportunities within B.C. while supporting its parent organization, The Land Conservancy of Brisith Columbia (TLC). TLC Enterprises strives to support and promote the work of TLC through activities and services that generate income and increase public awareness.

At TLCE we offer exciting getaway experiences at six rental acommodations around the province, from the South Winchelsea eco-cottage to the renowned Arthur Erickson designed Baldwin House in Burnaby. In addition to renting cabins and cottages, we also own and operate the Sooke Potholes Campground on Vancouver Island. Lastly, TLCE offers Conservation Holidays, vacations to feel good about. TLC The Land Conservancy of British Columbia

Usually known as TLC, The Land Conservancy is a charitable land trust that works to protect special places around the province, including natural areas, agricultural lands and heritage properties.

Founded in 1997, TLC is modeled after the National Trust of Britain. It is a democratic organization, membership-based, and governed by an elected Board of Directors (volunteer). TLC relies on a strong membership and volunteer base to help maintain its operations.

The Land Conservancy achieves its conservation objectives by working in a non-confrontational, businesslike manner. We work with many partners, all levels of government, other agencies, businesses, community groups and individuals to ensure the broadest support for our activities. We are here for the long term. When we take properties under our care, our goal is to protect them in perpetuity.

Our Natural Heritage

From the lush coastal rain forests to the deserts and grasslands of the interior, British Columbia contains some of the most beautiful and biologically diverse lands in North America. These areas are home to many threatened or endangered species, which are dependent upon critical habitat for their survival. But many of these rare natural areas are in danger of disappearing forever. The Land Conservancy is working to protect those special places, forever, for everyone.

TLC is committed to the protection of plants, animals, natural communities and landscape features that represent the diversity of life on earth. We do this by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive. TLC has protected over 300 properties, comprising over 120,000 acres, and ranging from relatively small urban oases to vast tracts of threatened grasslands or wilderness areas.

Many of these lands are facing increased threats from population growth or development pressure. The Land Conservancy is determined to do whatever we can to ensure that British Columbia’s magnificent natural legacy will not be lost. The time to act is now - working together with our many partners, we can save these special places for future generations.
