Date: Saturday Feb 25, 2012Community: Cranbrook
(Category: Events/Festivals, Food/Wine/Restaurant)
Enyoy an exotic evening with elaborate capes and hand-held masks in the 1906 heritage ambience of the Royal Alexandra Hall - a Heritage Canada national award recipient - at the Canadian Museum of Rail Travel.
Some capes and masks are available for rent from the Museum - or make your own - or just dress in comfortable dance clothing. The capes are usually worn for the opening reception in the Museum's imposing Entrance Hall before proceeding to the Royal Alexandra for the dance and where capes can be hung up beside your table and the masks placed in special holders. A high-end light buffet is offered all night, and there is also some dance entertainment provided at intervals. A brochure and visuals are available on the museum website.
