Hidden in the Louis Creek Valley, surrounded by mountains, this guest ranch is small and exclusive. This is an adult-oriented environment offering a relaxing, tranquil environment to enjoy horseback riding, nature and the outdoors. Located in BC’s Southern Interior, Tod Mountain Ranch can accommodate 16 guests in newly constructed cabins hidden in small clearings amongst the trees. Guests share a western style living, dining and games area in the guest lodge.
Horseback riding is, of course, the main activity here at the ranch and because our ranch is small, we offer complete flexibility in the riding programme so that it is geared to the interest level of the guests, with rides varying from a couple of hours to all day rides. Guests are encouraged to spend time at the barn getting to know the horses they’ll be riding and helping out with the grooming and saddling of their personal horse that will be allocated to them for the duration of their stay.
Experienced Wranglers guide you up the mountains surrounding the ranch on an extensive network of old logging roads and cattle trails through the forest to nearby lakes and streams and up into the alpine. Riding lessons are also offered. In addition to the horseback rides, there are hiking and mountain biking trails and a horseshoe pitch.
Our purpose built lodge is the heart of the activity at Tod Mountain Ranch with breathtaking views down Louis Creek Valley. This is the place where guests gather for meals, activities and socializing when they’re not out on the trail.
Our dining room has a large table that everyone can sit around to enjoy the mouthwatering feasts provided by our resident Chef. Delicious, wholesome meals with an emphasis on locally sourced, fresh seasonal ingredients are served family style with guests and staff eating together, so you get to know everyone. Coffee, soft drinks and snacks are always available.
The games room is equipped with a pool table and card table. We have cards, dice games, and a selection of board games for you to enjoy. We even provide the gaming chips.
Just want to relax? Then curl on one of the sofas or armchairs in our fireside lounge. Or maybe you’d like to watch a movie from our DVD library. We have a small TV lounge just for that purpose.
Out on the deck, sit and enjoy the scenery and the fresh mountain air.
Hidden in clearings amongst the trees, our cabins are luxuriously equipped to ensure your comfort during your stay. Cabins are either furnished with one queen bed or two double (full size) beds and all have a private bathroom with bath tub and shower. The cabins also have a wide covered porch perfect for relaxing or enjoying an early morning cup of coffee.
Each cabin is furnished with custom designed, hand constructed log furniture. Our beds are fitted with pillow top mattresses and feather duvets and pillows. We also provide a small fridge and coffee making facilities
In your bathroom, you will find plenty of over-sized soft fluffy towels, bathrobes, a hairdryer and a range of toiletries made with natural organic ingredients.

Tod Mountain Ranch is less than 15 mins drive from Sun Peaks Resort. The resort offers a wide variety of summer activities including hiking trails, biking trails (cross country & downhill), 18-hole golf course, ATV tours, kayaking, canoeing and fishing.
The towns of Kamloops and Barriere are approx. 45 mins drive from the ranch.
All inclusive packages include 5 - 6 hours of horseback riding daily, accommodation in luxuriously furnished cabins, delicious home cooked meals and all on-site activities.
