General information: Sculpture . . . by Joe Ratushniak, Joe Ratushniak  Nothing lasts forever and here's a case in point . . . this lifesize great blue heron was lost when the Calgary Zoo's Northern Forest Lodge was claimed by fire. The sculpture had a wingspan of over 6 feet and was suspended from the ceiling as though in a perpetual glide. An arsonist torched the structure the night of August 16, 2002. |
