Horses are our Teachers! Horses don't care how much you know, but they know how much you care! We use the Natural Horsemanship philosophy, based on the principles of Tom & Bill Dorrance, Ray Hunt, Buck Brannaman and Pat Parelli. Relationship and partnership are very important on the trails. We need to trust our horses and our horses need to trust their rider.

We assign a personal horse to every rider for the duration of your stay. Before we start our first trail ride we introduce you to your horse in the Ranch Arena, where we will share / explain how to communicate with your horse, the basics and safety for an enjoyable trail ride. Becoming a good horseback rider, not just a passenger, is a great feeling!

We offer family rides, rides of various gaits from walking to loping, short rides, longer half-day or all-day rides (depending on skill level) as well as scenic trips with lunch on the trail.

Join us with bareback trail rides in the evening on our own property for the more advanced riders. We also swim with the horses bareback on hot summer days on our full day trail rides (also for the advanced riders).

We like to encourage our guests in participating the handling of our horses. Our natural horsemanship approach starts with how we catch the horse. Daily grooming, saddling, giving them a bath after a hot day ride, are all part of the horse experience and keeping it natural gives it an interesting and harmonious dimension for both rider and horse.

Our trail rides will take you to beautiful Lakes here in the interior of British Columbia, Forest Trails, Natural Meadows, Hill Tops and View Points! For Kids under 8 yrs, we offer pony rides in our arena!

After a scenic trail ride you come home to our main lodge which is very intimate and welcomes you to make yourself at home, with its family style dining area, the kitchen of every cook's dream, overstuffed couches and a river rock fire place in the Wild Horse Saloon. The inviting reading loft has many western novels, and other best sellers. Many buffet and barbecue dinners are served on our wide-open deck that looks out over Campbell Lake.

Upstairs we have an old-fashioned games room, 2 beautiful cozy rooms each with a handcrafted king size log bed, plus each a full private bathroom.

In addition to the lodge we have 2 deluxe smoke-free cabins featuring the warm western style living room with a cathedral ceiling plus cozy wood stove, 1 bedroom (queen bed) with an additional sleeping loft (2 single beds) & a full bathroom. Cabins sleep up to four and are double occupancy only. Enjoy beautiful views of gleaming Campbell lake and beautiful Monte Hills right out of your window or your private deck. Don't miss out on the scenic morning sun, rising above the lake. Quality and comfort is very important to us.
