One Artist... One Passion... Two Styles...
The animal world is the focus of Deborah Strong's colourful paintings and lifelike drawings. She specializes in both hand-painted silk and coloured pencil, and her subjects range from her own animal companions to a variety of wild animals and birds. She operates out of her home studio, Cat & Mouse Designs, located in Langley, BC (open by appointment).
Deborah's work is often displayed at festivals and exhibitions in southwestern BC. To see her exhibition schedule, visit her website at www.catnmousedesigns.com.

Coloured Pencil Drawings
Highly detailed and technically accurate, Deborah's coloured pencil drawings reflect her interest in animals and the natural world, with a particular focus on birds.
Prints and art cards of her drawings are available.

Silk Paintings
Deborah's colourful silk paintings are sometimes described as "whimsical" and, as with all her art, focus on animals and nature.
The silk paintings are framed in the same way as a watercolour with matting and glass. Prints and art cards are available.

Animal Portraits
For more than 25 years, Deborah has been creating lifelike portraits of dogs, cats and horses, to the delight and satisfaction of her clients.
"Lots of people can paint animals, but you capture the spirit of the animal. That, to me, is the magical part."

Silk Scarves
Deborah's colourful line of hand-painted silk scarves feature West Coast themes and, of course, animals!
