The unofficial BC Travel & Tourism Guide

Newsletter March 2007

Thursday Mar 08, 2007

Looking for more ways of getting exposure for your work, your studio, and your events this year? Now is the time, tourists season is on its way and visitors from all over the country and Europe have already started booking their vacations around British Columbia. They also show a strong interest in the arts community and local events around the regions they are planning to visit. Are you attending any festivals or markets this year? Let us know and we will be sure to list them on our BC Events calendar. There are several ways you can utilize GoBC.ca and this is what this month’s newsletter is all about. Read on to discover the many ways we can help.

Get ready for Summer!
Have your information updated before summer by creating more:
  • List your events, festivals and markets now! * (even your booth number or any details)
  • Include new photos of any new pieces
  • Prepare any new information about you or your studio (hours, or new address)
  • If you haven’t already, link back from your website to GoBC to assist in the direct link traffic support to your site.
* Take advantage of our event section to advertise any upcoming events ahead of time. Not just two weeks before your event; if you know the dates post them now to get more exposure, especially for people that are just going to be traveling to your area at a certain time, so that they can plan to attend now.

Reach a 150 million German Speaking Travelers
Have your listing translated into German!
We offer a reduced rate on translations for artists at $ 49.00 for up to 2000 characters.
Advertise "in German", not just in English, on our second website: www.urlaub-reisen.gobc.ca there is no extra cost for being listed on the second site, many of the visitors however appreciate reading about you in their native tongue.

Community exposure helps everyone!
Creating more interest in the over all community with events organizations, museums and theatres makes the area you live more interesting to potential tourists. It is never a competition when it comes to tourism. The more the better!
Talk to theatres, museums, art organizations in your area and they can get on board in 2007 with GoBC as well for free!
If any business owners such as accommodations, tour operators, rental companies you know could use extra tourist exposure have them contact us for further details.

Your Input!
We would love to hear from you. Do you happen to have recommendations for changes, additions, improvements for GoBC? Is there anything that's missing, difficulties or what works really well for you?
Talk to us or send us an email, we want to support you by giving you the right tool for your needs and success. Our initiative is to assist the artists of BC with the kind of support THEY need. That means your feedback really does matter.

We wish you a inspirational, healthy and successful 2007!

From all of us at GoBC!
