Surrounded by fields, trees and fresh air the Logpile Lodge is situated on 160 private acres (~64 ha) overlooking the beautiful Bulkley Valley. Right between the lively town of Smithers and the superb 32,000 hectares Babine Mountain Provincial Park the Lodge is the ideal place to start exciting trips into the outdoors or stay at home relaxing, reading, unwinding with a glass of wine.
The great surroundings as well as the easy access to the Telkwa and Howsen Range, Dome Mountain Area, Seaton Range, our house mountain - the Hudson Bay Mountain-, the numerous world class rivers such as the Babine, the Skeena, the Bulkley, the Morice, the Kispiox, the unique Nass Valley, the Babine Lake the list goes on, have captured the hearts of many outdoor enthusiasts.
Put on your hiking boots or hop on a mountain bike and work the mountains surrounding Smithers, a voyage of discovery as you travel over mining exploration trails, wildlife routes and traditional trails travelled on by generations.
You can start right from our bed & breakfast up to the Malkow Lookout, on the trails through the fields. A 10 min. drive away: Babine Mountain Provincial Park, 20 min. drive: Hudson Bay Mountain Glacier and Twin Falls (spectacular in early summer), 40 min.
European style dinners are offered a couple times a week. Our goal is to prepare meals with quality ingredients and fresh produce (organic where possible), everything made from scratch and with a dash of love.
