I was born in Truro, Great Britain and graduated from Reading University in 2001. Prior to moving to Canada I worked as a real estate lawyer in the UK. Moving to Canada in 2010 provided an opportunity for a change in career direction and I now work primarily as an artist from my home on Vancouver Island. Before law I studied sculpture at Cardinal Newman Sixth Form College and during law I took a weekly evening class in life drawing for two years. Since moving to Canada I have continued my art education taking various classes and workshops. I have always loved to learn and what excites me about a career in art are the endless possibilities to try and create new things. In my practice I embrace a number of materials and techniques including acrylic, oils and sculpture.
