Collective Works Gallery is a Victoria artist run collective located in the heart of Fernwood.
Our Mission:
To create a contemporary, professional venue dedicated to promoting art and culture in our community.
- to have a stimulating and educational interaction with the public through conversation about art, mentorship, workshops and presentations by local artists and invited artists from abroad.
- To provide members with opportunities that support their artistic endeavors and advancement.

Isa Severain
Dance and mime, are at the root of my creative process ,I try to distill in ceramic the emotions that are inherent to movement. My mosaics, created directly from raw clay, are captured expressions of these kinetic arts, keeping the composition on the edge, always in and off balance.

Jenny Waelti-Walters is an internationally known printmaker and a painter in acrylic. She loves depicting people in motion, moving through space, and therefore time; her work suggests stories. She also paints poppies with attitude.

- Harumi Ota -
Harumi Ota’s ceramic works and designs are an interesting mixture of both the Japanese esthetic and contemporary flavors more reflective of his North American influences.
Harumi most enjoys making non-functional pieces using a slip casting process, demonstrating his mastery of this medium in his Collective works Solo show in 2008.
On the flip side of his creative coin, Harumi also makes colorful, uniquely functional pieces that reflect a combination of the Japanese enjoyment of tableware and his own sense of Fun.
The motions of mind, hand, memory and fantasy, merging with clay and colorants, further transformed by alchemic processes, create work that is a mixture of control and chance.
