Encaustic Basics with Angela Hansen

Learn the basics of the wonderfully versatile encaustic medium. Subjects covered include encaustic studio safety, a brief history of encaustics, electric iron and stylus use, hot palette, fusing, and brushwork. Participants will execute a variety of technical exercises and complete a 10” x 10” painting to take home.

Fee: $175 + GST ($183.75) All supplies, tools, and equipment provided.
Date: Saturday, March 25th
Time: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Location: PDCAC Community Room at the Leir House Cultural Centre (220 Manor Park Avenue).
*Max 12 participants.

Registration:
- Register in-person at the Penticton Arts Council office at 220 Manor Park Avenue.
- Call the office at 250-492-7997 Monday to Saturday, 10:30 am to 4:30 pm.
- E-transfer to payments@pentictonartscouncil.com (Please call the office before sending to ensure workshop space is available). Include which workshop you are registering for in the notes.
