Green Lake

Located near 70 Mile House the park offers three campgrounds with a total of 121 sites. The park also provides a sani-station, telephone, toilets, water, firewood and is wheelchair accessible.
The lake is excellent for both summer and winter recreation. Swimming, boating, fishing, water skiing, paddling, and horseback riding are all popular, and sandy beaches can be found along the shoreline. The lake itself is quite shallow allowing for the waters to remain quite warm, even into the fall months.
The open rangeland and mixed forests of aspen and lodgepole pine found here are typical of the Cariboo's landscape. Moose, deer, black bear, coyote, squirrels and marmots can be found as well as owls and golden eagles. The west end of the lake attracts nesting waterfowl as well as migratory birds.
Green Lake is about 14 km long averaging 1.5 km in width with an irregular shoreline of approximately 57 km. The lake has a low flushing rate and together with the chemical composition of the warm shallow waters, creates the greenish hue giving the lake its name.
