Year round fishing makes Mabel Lake a secret sancturary perfect for a successful day reeling in Rainbow, Dolly Varden, Lake trout, Kokanee or Whitefish. The soft
sandy shoreline backs cool forests of hemlock, red cedar and birch along with some areas of old-growth mystic moss coated trees. In addition to turtles, birdlife, and squirrels the occational deer and black bear can be seen throughout the park areas.

History:
Mabel Lake Provincial Park, established in 1972, was named after Mabel Charles, who was the daughter of a Hudson's Bay Company manager during the late 19th century.
