"Through photography, I depict a space of metaphor and imagination that reveals the subtle peculiarities of our everyday lives. My artwork explores how the infrastructures we develop to facilitate an urban lifestyle influence our collective behaviours and relationships to the natural environment."
Eric Deis is an Adjunct Professor of Photography at Emily Carr Institute. He is a graduate of Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, Vancouver (B.F.A.), and the University of California, San Diego (M.F.A.). His artwork has been exhibited in Canada, Denmark, Germany, Mexico, Serbia, Sweden, and the United States of America.
