British Columbia Travel Guide
The unofficial BC Travel & Tourism Guide
Apex Mountain Resort is located in the sunny Okanagan Valley in the heart of south-central BC. The hidden gem of Canadian skiing is located a short 30 minute drive from Penticton, BC.

Apex is a full service destination resort with quality snow, great weather, incredible terrain, and friendly people. The ski resort features the perfect mix between large amounts of precipitation and low humidity that makes for the lightest champagne powder snow imaginable. With an average temperature of -4º C, Apex receives about 600 cm of dry "Okanagan" powder each season. Much to the delights of downhill skiers and snowboarders, Apex Mountain Resort offers consistently great weather, champagne powder, varied terrain suitable for downhill and nordic pursuits, short lift lines, uncrowded slopes, welcoming locals and comfortable accommodations, many of which feature ski-in/ski-out access. The resort also offers easy access to exceptional cross-country and snowshoeing trails.

In the summer months, Apex is a cool retreat from the heat of the Okanagan Valley and offers impressive hikes past meadows of wildflowers, as well as energizing mountain biking. Guests have easy access to varied and scenic hiking trails. From July to September, mountain biking is taken seriously here, with enthusiasts taking advantage of over 670 m (2,000 ft) of vertical riding that includes a gnarly stunt area.
