The Egmont Heritage Centre is a new museum and interpretive centre that is located across from the famous Skookumchuck Trail Provincial Park. The Centre has a museum focusing on the local Native and pioneer history of the area. Emphasis is on the logging and fishing heritage. This unique building was constructed with lumber milled from trees logged on the property.
Visitors can also enjoy and extensive antique bottle collection and a Depression glass collection.
The Centre has a gift shop that carries snacks, souvenirs and local arts and crafts. They offer internet service, tourist information, washrooms and free public parking. There are demonstrations, classes and lectures throughout the year.

The Gift Shop carries local arts and crafts including cedar baskets and weavings, jewelry, Native carvings and felt wall hangings, walking sticks, soaps, books, cards and t-shirts.

The Skookumchuck Heritage Society maintains the Egmont Heritage Centre. The registered society was formed in 1994.Anyone interested in supporting the Society and the new museum building is asked to join.
