Meet Terran
Artist/woodcarver
Award winning artist/woodcarver Terran Ambrosone is well known for her beautifully carved walking sticks, as well as relief carvings, sculpture, digital art and animations.
Her work is greatly influenced by the natural surroundings of Vancouver Island and the West Kootenays.
Terran's work has sold to the Alberta Provincial Museum, as well as many collectors throughout Canada, the US and Great Britain, including Hollywood film editor William Carruth and Canadian composer Daniel Prochnau.
"Dreams of Rivendell" A custom carved alder staff featuring a smoky crystal that was inspired by Tolkein's "Lord of the Rings".
"What Remains" A driftwood sculpture that was initially inspired by the shape of the wood. To Terran , this piece has a haunting quality, and depicts the extinction, and impending extinction of so many of the animals that we share this planet with.
The Copper Snake- Hand carved and painted with artist quality irridescent acrylic, then finished with several coats of spar urethane for a weatherproof finish. This is a popular design that is both striking and functional.
