Lake Cabin Oil Painting 11" x 14" Unframed $150.00 (cdn.)
Most folks have dreams of, or have, a lake cabin to escape to in the heat of the sultry summer months; although I can't say that we on the West Coast suffer the same inescapable humidity as those who live back east. Born and raised in rural Quebec and having lived in the Niagara Peninsula area...yes, there is a huge difference! This is my artistic rendition of where a summer escape might be located...isolated, reached only by boat or seaplane with only mother nature and her creatures at the doorstep....

Mountain Lake Oil Painting 11" x 14" Unframed $150.00 (cdn.)
No matter where I choose to look, looming mountains frame the horizon. Cool lakes, like this painting depicts, lay hidden and mysterious at their base waiting to be discovered, patient and still. On many occasions we have made such discoveries as we hiked in areas that we had not ever been in before. Such a discovery makes one feel much like a pioneer and one can't help but imagine the awe our early fore-fathers must have felt as they made their way westward over the mountains to their new land and homes!

Stormy Sea Oil Painting 16" x 20" SOLD
This painting is a result of feeling the need to challenge myself! My 'water-related' paintings tend to be invitingly peaceful and calm. I have an affinity to water- I feel so at peace with myself and the world, all tensions 'wash' away when I am near it. As I painted this stormy seascape, my husband would ask me...'Is everything okay?' I assured him it was, but he continued to be concerned. I finally asked why he was asking the same question, repeatedly... " Because you've never painted this way - just wondering if is it anger that your expressing?", he said. How sweet of him to be so concerned! :)

Cascading Waterfall Oil Painting 16" x 20 " Unframed $300.00 (cdn.)
Waterfalls of every description can be found virtually anywhere in B.C.
This picture depicts a warm autumn day. The changing colours of the occasional deciduous trees intersperse among the dense evergreen landscape, framing a body of pristine water that spills over a rocky stairway, creating a refreshing and inviting waterfall for your discovery and enjoyment!
