The mild year round climate is a big attraction to this vibrant community. Abbotsford has multiple areas dedicated to farmland that sustains many families, which are surrounded by the vast Fraser Valley committed to activities and outdoor adventures for individuals of all skill levels.

But visitors only complication maybe deciding what to do when the arrive. Biking or hiking the local trails are a great way to explore BC forests. Those preferring to take it easy may want a day at the spa, on the golf course, or attending an arts and cultural event.

History:
The original town site of Abbotsford was chosen by J.C. Maclure and like many towns across Canada, named for the director of the Canadian Pacific Railway, Henry Abbott.
